How Close Is the Condo to Seaside?

The position between Seagrove and Seaside is one of the main reasons we bought here. Close enough to use Seaside daily. Far enough that its parking problem is not ours.

15-20 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by bike

Leeward Unit 2 sits in Seagrove Beach, directly east of Seaside on Scenic Highway 30A. Walking to Seaside along the road takes about 15-20 minutes — flat, paved path the entire way. By bike on the Timpoochee Trail it is 5 minutes at an easy pace. Many guests make this trip daily in both directions.

What you pass on the way

The walk west from the condo takes you past Old Florida Fish House and Angelina’s Pizzeria — both walkable and worth knowing. As you approach Seaside you pass the Eastern Lake outfall area on the beach side. The last stretch into Seaside is lined with the low-rise architecture the town is famous for. The walk is part of the experience.

Driving: possible, usually not worth it

The drive is 3 minutes. Parking in Seaside during peak season is genuinely difficult — limited spaces, competitive, and a time investment that erases the driving advantage. Most guests learn on day one that biking or walking is faster for any Seaside trip. We keep an on-site bike rack for a reason.

Why Seagrove is the better location

Staying in Seagrove gives you access to everything Seaside offers without living in its parking radius. You can eat at Bud and Alley’s, hit the farmers market on Saturday morning, watch an amphitheater event, and walk back to the condo in 20 minutes. You never deal with Seaside’s traffic. The quiet of Seagrove — the quieter beach, the lower density, the Eastern Lake access — is the product, and Seaside is 15 minutes away when you want it.
